Laura Booth is an accomplished litigator with more than 20 years of experience. Her practice focuses on business and employment litigation. Laura represents corporate employers across industries in class action and other complex litigation matters in California and nationwide. She has experience defending wage-and-hour class actions and in a wide variety of state and federal employment matters including age, race, disability and sex discrimination, retaliation and harassment. In addition, Laura has experience dealing with the California Employment Development Department (EDD) and California Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board (CUIAB) in wrongful termination and misclassification claims, guiding clients through the administrative charge process and successfully defending those clients in administrative proceedings.

Laura has defended employers in wage-and-hour class and collective actions for claims including off-the-clock work, rounding, misclassification, overtime violations, meal and rest break violations, and failure to reimburse business expenses, as well as derivative claims for PAGA penalties and waiting time and wage statement penalties. Laura also works directly with corporations offering advice and counseling on the ever-changing landscape of state and federal employment laws.

Laura has also represented several automobile manufacturers and distributors of automobiles and motorcycles in a broad range of product liability matters. Laura’s experience aiding clients large and small enables her to cater to a diverse client base across California and beyond.
