Former Military Attorney and Graduate Joins Shook in Litigation Practice
Shook welcomes Frederick S. Rudesheim in the firm’s D.C. office as senior counsel. Rudesheim is a former civil litigation attorney for the United States Army Legal Services Agency and will transition to Shook to join the firm’s growing number of Judge Advocate General’s Legal Center and School (JAG) graduates. He brings courtroom, litigation and managerial experience to Shook.
Rudesheim attended the United States Military Academy and earned his Juris Doctor degree from Vanderbilt University. Following his graduation, Rudesheim became a Senior Trial Attorney for the 1st Calvary Division in Fort Hood, Texas. Here, he lead counsel in 17 felony trials, 188 labor and employment actions and over 70 pretrial investigations, ranging from cyber-crimes to domestic violence.
Rudesheim became a JAG graduate in 2021 and worked as a Civil Litigation Attorney in the United States Army Legal Services Agency where he served as agency counsel in 50 federal lawsuits. He also had the opportunity to litigate alongside the Department of Justice to defend the United States Army in federal district and circuit courts.
Shook currently has 21 veteran attorneys along with 6 JAG graduates and is pleased to have Frederick S. Rudesheim on the litigation team.
