Antitrust Is at ‘Historic’ Moment, Former DOJ Litigator Tells ALM
The American Lawyer interviewed Shook’s new Partner Ryan Sandrock on his move to the firm, where he will co-lead the Antitrust Group along with Partner Lynn Murray. For more than two years, Sandrock served as a Digital Markets Trial Attorney in the DOJ’s Antitrust Division.
“You can have issues with sugar, boxes, chicken, tech—anything can raise antitrust issues,” Sandrock told The American Lawyer. “And Shook has relationships with all kinds of companies, from tech companies to companies that sell consumer goods.”
Sandrock reaffirmed the importance of this growing area of law, “Antitrust is at a historic moment. It’s a topic of conversation more than it’s ever been since the earliest part of the 20th century.”
