Shook Partner Joins Hemp Industries Task Force
Shook Partner Stephanie McGraw was named to the Hemp Industries Association (HIA) Task Force 2.0. McGraw will work as part of a diverse group to elevate hemp, hemp growers and the hemp industry in the United States and internationally.
McGraw is a product liability defense attorney who advises consumer product manufacturers and distributors on pre- and post-market safety issues including compliance with state and federal regulations, warnings and instructions laws and product recall and corrective action best practices. She is a part of Shook’s Cannabis Law Practice, launched last year, and has written about and presented on the hemp industry.
The HIA is a membership-based non-profit trade association, formed in 1994 to advance the hemp economy and educate the market for the benefit of its members, the public and planet sustainability. The mission of the task force is to refocus the organization’s education and advocacy goals as well as its affiliate and chapter program in light of the legalization of hemp production in the United States and the increasing popularity of hemp-derived products.
