Erika defends clients in complex litigation matters, focusing on the pharmaceutical and medical device industries. Her experience also includes defending a wide variety of claims in areas including wrongful death and survival claims, personal injury, premises liability and professional liability. This includes conducting and defending depositions and assessing factual, legal and procedural aspects of cases, including liability analysis, litigation strategy, and settlement evaluation. Erika employs her diverse background and litigation experience to advocate for her clients at all stages of litigation.
Erika earned her J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center. During law school, Erika served as vice president of external affairs for the Hispanic Law Student Association. In addition, she was involved in mock trial, moot court, and the Houston Journal of Health Law and Policy. Before law school, Erika attended Texas A&M University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in biology.
