Calla defends clients in product liability litigation claims. She applies her knowledge in government and private law firm practice and a clerkship in appellate court to benefit clients.
Before joining Shook, Calla served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Judge Cristian M. Stevens of the Missouri Court of Appeals, Eastern District, reviewing appellate briefs and records on appeal. She also worked in a private law firm in their general defense litigation practice group where she analyzed case files, conducted initial case investigations, engaged in settlement discussions, drafted pleadings, motions and written discovery, conducted pre-trial depositions, and presented cases at mandatory, non-binding arbitration hearings. In addition, Calla served in the Cook County State Attorney's Office in Illinois. Calla earned her J.D. from the University of Missouri School of Law where she was an editor-in-chief and associate member of the Missouri Law Review.
