Audrey practices in the firm’s General Liability Litigation Practice Group. She has more than a decade of legal experience representing plaintiffs and defendants in civil litigation matters, including cases involving personal injury and property damage. Additionally, Audrey is knowledgeable about business and commercial litigation, economic development, and zoning issues. She has experience drafting and arguing all types of motions and briefs, conducting discovery, and taking and defending depositions of witnesses and expert witnesses.
Before joining Shook, Audrey was a senior attorney for a Houston, Texas-based law firm, where she represented clients in civil litigation matters in state and federal courts. While at the firm, she tried over a dozen cases, including five bench trials. Most recently, she was an associate for a Kansas City firm, where she practiced in the area of commercial litigation, including property damage defense, and land use and public law. There, Audrey tried a case involving property damage on behalf of a residential construction company.
Outside of her practice, in 2012, Audrey co-founded Elijah Rising, a nonprofit organization that works to fight sex trafficking in Houston. She served as the organization’s chair until she moved to Kansas City.
Before becoming a lawyer, Audrey was a freelance journalist, writing for The New York Times.
