Katie is a distinguished litigator specializing in the defense of environmental, toxic tort, and complex product liability cases. With a keen expertise in high-stakes litigation, Katie adeptly navigates every phase of the legal process—whether in federal or state court. Her comprehensive approach encompasses everything from initial pleadings to depositions, discovery, motion practice and trial.
Throughout her career, Katie has tackled some of the most formidable challenges in defending major chemical companies. She excels in formulating and executing strategic case plans, conducting pivotal depositions, and drafting and arguing critical pre-trial and trial motions. Her extensive experience also includes meticulous trial preparation and a particular focus on preparing corporate witnesses for the courtroom. By crafting compelling narratives and thoroughly understanding the evolution of corporate stories, Katie ensures that her clients are humanized for the jury, enhancing their relatability and credibility.
During law school, Katie served as the editor-in-chief of the Saint Louis University Public Law Review and president of the Criminal Law Society. She also acquired trial and deposition experience through her work in the SLU LAW Legal Clinics and argued an appeal in the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals.
