Environmental Co-Chair Named Among 2025 Lawdragon Environmental Lawyers

Shook Partner David Erickson has been listed in the 2025 Lawdragon 500 Leading Environmental Lawyers. Erickson was selected among this year’s honorees following journalistic reporting, nominations and vetting with peers and experts in environmental law.

As co-chair of Shook’s Environmental & Toxic Tort Litigation Practice Group, Erickson has more than 35 years of experience in litigation and environmental law. He has been responsible for directing and handling litigation in state and federal court on a variety of issues including environmental liability and allocation of responsibility.

Erickson is an active member within the environmental groups of the American Bar Association, including the section of Environment, Energy and Resources, section of Tort and Insurance Practice and former co-chair of the CLE Programming Committee. He has been recognized by Chambers USA for over 20 years in environmental law and was named to The Legal 500 Hall of Fame for his work in environmental litigation for four consecutive years. 

This marks the second recognition Lawdragon has given Shook’s environmental team, with the induction of Partner John Barkett into the 2025 Lawdragon Hall of Fame.
