Shook Chair and Practice Co-Chair Named Among Most Powerful Leaders
Ingram’s has named Shook Chair Madeleine McDonough and General Liability Litigation Co-Chair Robert Adams to the 2024 issue of Ingram’s 250: The Most Powerful Business Leaders in Greater Kansas City. Ingram’s 250 recognizes the most influential and powerful executives and leaders throughout the greater Kansas City area. This marks the eighth consecutive year McDonough and Adams have been recognized by the publication.
McDonough is in her second term as chair of the firm, following re-election in 2022. She previously chaired Shook’s Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Practice where the firm represented dozens of major pharmaceutical clients, including each of the top-10 pharmaceutical companies worldwide. In 2024, McDonough was named “Woman of the Year” by Missouri Lawyers Weekly and received recognition for “Best Woman-Led Law Firm.”
As co-chair of Shook’s General Liability Litigation Practice, Adams practices in the areas of products liability, intellectual property litigation, insurance coverage litigation and commercial litigation. He has chaired more than 30 jury trials across the country. Adams is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and was appointed by the Missouri Supreme Court as chair for the Missouri Approved Instruction Committee, which drafts instructions for civil cases.
