ABA Appoints Shook Partner to Co-Chair Mass Torts Committee

Shook Partner Edward Gaus has been named co-chair of the American Bar Association (ABA) Mass Torts Committee. Gaus will serve on the Committee for the upcoming bar year of 2024-2025. 

The ABA Mass Torts Committee addresses current and emerging issues in the practice of mass tort law. Among its many benefits to ABA Mass Tort Litigation Section members, the Mass Torts Committee offers opportunities to draft articles and present on panels. 

“I am honored to bring my experience as a litigator in mass tort law to the work that the ABA Mass Torts Committee does to support and shine a spotlight on lawyers who work in this practice area,” said Gaus. 

Based in San Francisco, Gaus’ practice includes a wide range of industries, including automotive, food and beverage and pharmaceutical and medical device. He was named among the 2025 Best Lawyers in America Ones to Watch for Product Liability Litigation – Defendants. Gaus was also named a Rising Star by Northern California Super Lawyers.
