Shook Associate Takes on New Leadership Roles
Shook Associate Shannon Schoultz has stepped into multiple new leadership roles. Following her recent move to Atlanta, Schoultz has been appointed to the Board of Directors for the Young Lawyers Division (YLD) of the Georgia Bar Association. Schoultz practices in Shook’s Complex Litigation Strategic Counseling, Business Litigation and Life Sciences practice groups.
Founded in 1947, the Young Lawyers Division was founded in order to further the original goals of the charter members of the State Bar of Georgia, along with fostering among the members of the Bar the principles of duty and service to the public and to encourage the interest and participation of younger members.
In addition to her new board role with YLD, Schoultz was named Co-Chair of Inclusion in the Profession Committee for the Georgia Bar Association’s YLD. This committee facilitates and presents programs that promote and increase participation and representation of Georgia’s diverse young lawyers. The committee includes young lawyers who have been historically underrepresented.
“Getting involved with the Georgia Bar upon moving to Atlanta was a pivotal step in my professional journey,” said Schoultz. “It has not only allowed me to grow as a legal professional but also to contribute meaningfully to the legal landscape in Georgia and the greater Atlanta metro area. Being part of this esteemed organization has been both an honor and a privilege.”
Schoultz is a current member of the National Bar Association and the Women’s Bar Association. As an experienced litigator, she oversees the day-to-day management and strategy in tort, commercial and product liability litigation. Schoultz is also a member of deposition prep teams where she utilizes skill and knowledge gained through the collection, analysis and review process to assist with deposition and trial preparation.
