Corporate Equality Index Awards Shook Perfect Score for 15th Year

For the 15th consecutive year, the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) has awarded Shook a perfect score for the 2023 Corporate Equality Index. A score of 100% indicates Shook’s commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion and best practices for the LGBTQ+ workplace.

The Human Rights Campaign Corporate Equality Index (CEI) is the national benchmarking tool measuring an organization’s policies and benefits pertinent to LGBTQ+ employees. The HRC evaluated Shook based on a variety of criteria including nondiscrimination policies across business entities, equitable benefits for LGBTQ+ workers, inclusive culture and corporate social responsibility. 

“For well over two decades, businesses have played an important role in furthering LGBTQ+ equality by centering employee needs and voices when it comes to workplace inclusion,” said RaShawn Hawkins, HRC’s Senior Director of Workplace Equality. “While there is much more work to be done, year-over-year growth in CEI participation is evidence of a business community that recognizes the responsibility and value in upholding equity and inclusion.”
