Law360 Recognizes Shook Trial in Top Patent Awards of 2023

Law360 selected Shook win Touchstream v. Google as second in its Top Patent Damages Awards of 2023.

Shook’s IP Litigation team scored a $339 million jury verdict for infringement of three patents covering Google’s Chromecast technology. The trial team included Shook partners Ryan Dykal, Lauren Douville, Jordan Bergsten, Gary Miller and Robert Reckers, who went up against Google in a five-day trial.

The jury verdict was protected when Shook defeated Google’s inter partes review challenges in September 2023, with all patent claims upheld in final written decisions.
