Shook Co-Chair to Give Keynote Address at ATRA Annual Legislative Conference

Shook Co-Chair of the Public Policy Practice Victor Schwartz will deliver the keynote address at the American Tort Reform Association (ATRA) Annual Legislative Conference on Monday, November 13, in Atlanta, Georgia. Schwartz’s presentation will be, “The Supreme Court’s Mallory Decision: A Path for Litigation Tourism to Judicial Hellholes® – How ATRA Can Block It.” This topic is one of great concern to many companies, as the Mallory decision potentially exposes companies to liability in any state in which they do business, even if all key facts in the case occurred outside of that jurisdiction. Schwartz will suggest ways the breadth of the Mallory decision can be curbed.
