Shook Senior Counsel Receives Community Alumni Award

Shook Senior Counsel Valerie Blevins has been recognized by Knox College, her alma mater, with the Knox Service Award. The Knox Service Award is given to members of the Knox community in recognition of their outstanding volunteer services.

Blevins has volunteered for the Knox community and organizations in the years following her graduation. She served as the reunion organizer for her graduating class, chair of the Alumni Council, Kansas City Knox Club leader and is a member of the K Club Engagement Council. 

“I am delighted and grateful to be one of the 2023 Knox Service Award recipients,” said Blevins. “It is an honor to be recognized by my peer alumni and my alma mater.”

Blevins received her B.A. from Knox College and her J.D. from the University of Nebraska prior to joining Shook. She focuses her practice on product liability litigation, specifically pharmaceutical and medical device litigation.
