Texas Lawyer Features Shook’s New Corporate Partner

The Texas Lawyer featured Shook’s new corporate Partner James Mayor in an article published by the American Lawyer. Throughout the piece, Texas Lawyer showcased Mayor’s career and his goals for expanding Shook’s corporate team across all locations. 

“I'm excited to build a corporate office in Houston for Shook which has a large network of offices and clients,” Mayor told Texas Lawyer. “Plans call for the firm to add other transactional lawyers in Houston.” 

Shook Chair Madeleine McDonough wrote that Mayor is a “game-changer” for the firm in corporate services. Mayor said much of his work over the years has been in the energy sector, but he’s also had clients in health care, technology, engineering, financial services and retail. He sees great cross-selling opportunities because of the breadth of Shook’s client list.
