Bar Association Names Shook Associate to Third Term on Executive Board
The George W. Crawford Black Bar Association has named Shook Associate Sheldon Poole to the 2023-2024 Crawford Executive Board. Poole will be serving a third term in this role.
The Association is a volunteer statewide organization of attorneys, judges and law students representing the collective body of Black attorneys in Connecticut. The mission of the association includes enhancing the role and number of Black attorneys in the state and focusing attention on legal, political and social issues that affect members of the Black community and addressing those issues as a unified body.
Poole defends corporate clients in product liability and environmental toxic tort litigation. He also serves as an active member of other professional groups, including American Inns of Court, DRI, and the Lawyers Collaborative for Diversity. Poole joined Shook last year when the firm opened a new office in Hartford, Connecticut, in May 2022.
