Shook Partner Selected for Kansas City Centurions Class of 2025
The Kansas City Chamber of Commerce has selected Shook Partner Jennifer Artman as part of its 2025 Centurions Class.
Centurions is a two-year leadership development program that has prepared greater Kansas City’s emerging leaders for roles including judges, CEOs, and nonprofit executives. Throughout this time, Artman will volunteer within the community, learn more about Kansas City’s future and have a chance to network with Centurions alum.
The Centurions Leadership Program was started in 1976. Their mission is, “to prepare a representative cross-section of the community's emerging leaders for their role in shaping the future of Greater Kansas City.”
Artman’s practice focuses on all phases of litigation. A key portion of her practice is advising clients on product safety to minimize tort and product liability risk and exposure. In addition to her trial and counseling work, she regularly handles appellate work at state and federal appellate courts and state supreme courts.
Last year, Artman was awarded The Bill Martucci Outreach Award. This award honors those attorneys who have demonstrated commitment to the search for talent and recruitment of new lawyers or summer associates to Shook, including advancing awareness of Shook and promoting Shook's attributes within the legal community. The recipients of this award represent the best of Shook in terms of their collaborative approach to recruiting the best and brightest to the firm.
