Three Partners Present at Corporate Counsel Symposium
Three Shook partners recently spoke at the Corporate Counsel Symposium in Philadelphia. The Symposium is hosted annually by the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel (FDCC) and brings together in-house corporate attorneys and outside law firms to discuss emerging trends in many different areas of law.
This year Al Saikali, the chair of Shook’s Privacy and Data Security Practice and a partner in the Miami office, provided an update on cybersecurity, including trends in data breach litigation and biometric privacy. Grant Law, from Shook’s San Francisco office and Bill Vita from Shook New York joined a dynamic panel presentation on new developments in litigation. Law spoke about product liability risks posed by electric and highly automated vehicles, as well as battery-powered consumer products. Vita led an interactive discussion with the audience on recent trends in litigation.
The audience included general counsel and experienced corporate attorneys from many different industries, including manufacturing, insurance, commercial, retail and food distribution services.
