Shook Provides 50 Pro Bono Hours to Women of Color Entrepreneurs
Shook is a sponsor of the Women of Color Entrepreneurs Virtual Conference, June 30, hosted by Corporate Counsel Women of Color (CCWC). Along with sponsoring the event, Shook is providing a total of 50 hours of pro bono services to minority women entrepreneurs, which will include advice and counsel on legal considerations pertaining to business matters such as business startups, business formation and business management.
Shook Partner Veronica Gromada and Shook Associate Shannon Schoultz are representing the firm at the conference. Gromada is a long-time member of CCWC and has participated in several different capacities since the organization’s inception. She has been instrumental in leveraging Shook’s sponsorship of the organization to enhance the professional development of Shook women of color attorneys. Schoultz was a CCWC scholarship recipient, and as a corporate attorney is involved with the organization by attending conferences throughout the year and offering pro bono services to minority entrepreneurs.
The conference will offer education and support services for women of color business owners, including sessions on protecting intellectual property, marketing, building capital, employment law and customer data privacy.
