ALM Features Shook Partner in New Role as Chair of Florida’s Jury Instructions Committee

Starting January 2022, Shook Miami Managing Partner Dan Rogers will become chair of the Florida Supreme Court Standard Jury Instructions in Civil Cases Committee. Rogers, who previously served as vice chair, will lead a committee that was recently given final authority powers on jury instructions for the state civil courts. Plaintiff and defense attorneys will be involved in a process of revamping the state’s current standard jury instruction language, with a goal of creating instructions that reflect accurate statements of the law and provide clearer and more effective instruction to jurors. In response, the Daily Business Review has featured Rogers in “Time to Revisit Trial Strategy as Florida Supreme Court Changes Final Authority on Jury Instructions.”
