Shook Attorney to Moderate Keynote Judges Panel at Legalweek Conference

Shook Partner Patrick Oot will moderate a panel of judges at the virtual Legalweek conference to be held July 13-14.

On Wednesday, July 14, 9:00-10:00 a.m. EDT, Oot will be the moderator for “Keynote: The Annual Judges Panel: Embracing Technology . . . Going Virtual and Back Again?” The panel will discuss the use of virtual platforms for hearings, case management conferences and trials during the past pandemic year and their individual views of the new normal going forward into 2022. Panelists are the Hon. Kristen L. Mix, U.S. District Court, District of Colorado; Hon. Jed S. Rakoff, U.S. District Court, Southern District of New York; Hon. William Matthewman, U.S. District Court, Southern District of Florida; Hon. Karen Wells Roby, U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Louisiana; and Hon. Andrew J. Peck, DLA Piper senior counsel.

Oot is co-chair of Shook’s Data and Discovery Strategies Practice Group and is a Chambers-ranked litigator and editor-in-chief of The Electronic Discovery Institute’s Guide to Spoliation Law.
