Shook Partner to Speak on Debiasing Implicit Bias

Shook’s Firmwide Chair of Diversity and Inclusion Initiatives, John Lewis, will be a presenter at the “Debiasing – Actionable Steps,” virtual roundtable March 11, 12:30-2 p.m. ET. The roundtable, sponsored by Shook and the National Capital Region Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC NCR), will inform on specific, measurable tactics, routines and behaviors that attorneys and legal professionals can implement to actively “debias” themselves, their teams, their workplaces and by extension, the legal profession. The roundtable expands upon last year’s discussion addressing implicit bias, its origins and its unintended effects on preventing successful inclusion and diversity efforts.
