Shook Partners Present COVID-19 Bankruptcy and Creditors' Rights Webinar

Shook Partners John Lewis, Mark Moedritzer and Todd Ruskamp will present the webinar, “Bankruptcy and Creditors' Rights in the Age of COVID-19,” April 8, 11:30 a.m. EDT/10:30 a.m. CDT. 

The coronavirus has already affected not just the physical health but the economic health of our country. Bloomberg reported that distressed debt in the U.S. recently quadrupled in less than one week to nearly a trillion dollars, reaching levels not seen since 2008. Companies and the professionals who advise them will need a working knowledge of bankruptcy principles to deal with the insolvencies that will occur throughout a company’s value and supply chain. 

In this first of a webinar series, Shook Bankruptcies and Creditors’ Rights attorneys will guide attendees through an introduction to bankruptcy laws, discussing creditors’ rights in bankruptcy that every in-house representative and lawyer should know, and offering mitigation strategies for dealing with trade creditor, supplier, vendor, customer and landlord/tenant bankruptcies.
