Shook Partners to Present Webinar on Force Majeure and COVID-19 Potential Business Implications

Shook Partners Bill Martucci, Lynn Murray and Tom Sullivan will present the webinar, “Force Majeure and COVID-19: A Primer on Potential Business Implications,” March 25 at 3:00 p.m. EST, 2:00 p.m. CST and 12:00 p.m. PST.

The webinar will focus on the doctrine of force majeure and how it may affect your ongoing business relationships and operations. In addition to a discussion of force majeure clauses, the program will focus on UCC and common law doctrines. 

Topics to be addressed include written force majeure provisions and critical interpretive issues, when performance of obligations may be impracticable, whether the pandemic may frustrate the purpose of some agreements, the impact of material adverse change provisions, key practical questions for assessing the consequences of COVID-19 on contracts and considerations for dealing with counterparties.
