Shook Helps Support Hispanic Bar Association at Annual Scholarship Event

Shook attorneys and staff came out to show their support for the Hispanic Bar Association of Greater Kansas City’s (HBAGKC) Annual Scholarship Reception held at the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum, Kansas City, Missouri, October 10, 2019.

Since the inception of its scholarship program inception in 2007, the HBAGKC has awarded thousands of dollars in scholarship monies to area Hispanic law students, as well as directly assisting in increasing the pipeline of diverse attorneys in Kansas City. Shook Partner Maria Salcedo served as past president of the HBAGKC for two terms.

“Shook is a long standing supporter of the HBAGKC as Shook and HBAGKC have common goals of increasing diversity and inclusion in the legal community,” stated Salcedo. “We hope to continue this partnership in the future.”
