The HBJ Selects Shook Houston Managing Partner Jennise Stubbs for Leadership Honor
The Houston Business Journal selected Shook Houston Managing Partner Jennise Stubbs as a member of the 2019 class of “Women Who Mean Business.” The publication chooses women leaders who are making an impact in their industry, business and community.
The HBJ recognized Stubbs for her litigation and trial work, which includes serving as national counsel for two major pharmaceutical companies along with serving as counsel to several other pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers. You can hear Stubbs explaining a complex issue affecting clients in an easily understood way in a recently unveiled Shook video series, “60 Seconds of Legal Science.”
“I’m honored and humbled to be selected for this award,” stated Stubbs, from her Houston office. “It reinforces my commitment to my clients and my firm which has afforded me so many opportunities.”
Stubbs also serves on Shook’s Executive Management Council and Women’s Management Council. One of her priorities is her commitment to diversity. Stubbs, representing Shook, signed the Houston Bar Association’s “Gender Fairness Pledge” to increase women in the profession.
The HBJ will recognize Stubbs, and the other honorees, at the “Women Who Mean Business” event, October 3, 2019 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in Houston.
