Oot and Zito Offer ESI and Ethics Webinar for Colorado ACC

Partners Michael Zito and Patrick Oot will present the webinar “Leveling the Playing Field in Asymmetric Litigation: Extracting Electronically Stored Information from Requesting Parties & Associated Ethical Obligations,” to the National Capital Region and the Colorado Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel, at 4 p.m. MDT, June 11, 2019.

Zito and Oot will be joined by Jessica Block, senior managing director of Ankura. The session will explore an attorney’s obligations under ABA Model Rules when seeking to extract ESI from requesting parties, as well as the obligation of a requesting party’s counsel to be technologically competent under Model Rule 1.1; the goal is to return to merits-focused discovery, limiting and reducing costs of oversized discovery demands. 

Oot is Co-Chair of Shook’s Data & Discovery Strategies Practice Group.
