Shook Named "Ceiling Smasher" Among Best Law Firms for Female Partners

Law360 has selected Shook, Hardy & Bacon among its Best Law Firms for Female Partners in 2018.

The “Glass Ceiling” report ranks firms by their percentage of female equity partners based on the firm’s size. Shook ranks in the Top 10 of firms with 300–599 attorneys with 25.4 percent female equity partners.

Led by Chair Madeleine McDonough, the firm is committed to sustaining a diverse environment where everyone is respected and experiences fulfillment and enjoyment through personal contributions. In 2019, women comprised 50 percent of Shook’s new partner class. Women lead or co-lead a number of practice groups and offices including Shook Chicago, Houston, Miami, Orange County and Tampa.

The Institute for Inclusion in the Legal Progression and LexisNexis recently invited McDonough to be the featured presenter for “Gender Diversity for a New Generation in a Global Legal Profession–UK and US Perspectives,” at Lexis House in London, June 5, 2019.
