Shook Named Business Philanthropist of the Year

The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), Mid-America Chapter, has selected Shook as its “Business Philanthropist of the Year.” Legal Aid of Western Missouri nominated Shook for its mission of providing legal counsel for people in need, and Partner John Murphy was nominated for his role as Board Chair of Starlight Theatre. The firm, along with other honorees, were recognized at an event in Kansas City, November 3, 2017.

The AFP wrote, “The multifaceted approach to philanthropy of Shook, Hardy & Bacon is a beacon of justice and generosity in Kansas City.”
