Shook Sponsors 2017 UMKC Pride Summit
An Advocate Sponsor of the University of Missouri–Kansas City’s (UMKC) Pride Summit 2017: Making a Case for a Diverse and Inclusive Workforce, Shook, Hardy & Bacon is pleased to support the university’s 9th Annual Pride Breakfast fundraiser dedicated to supporting LGBTQIA students. This year’s fundraiser will focus on empowering the Kansas City community while providing “hope and encouragement to students regarding their role in the workplace.”
Shook Chair Madeleine McDonough will join the event’s panel discussion with Kansas City Mayor Sly James; Global HR Project Manager and Vice President of State Street Morgana Bee; Hallmark Chief Executive Officer Donald J. Hall Jr.; Lathrop & Gage LLP Chief Information Officer Gillian Power; and Senior Vice President of Hospital Operations for Saint Luke’s Health Systems Julie Quirin. UMKC Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor Barbara Bichelmeyer will serve as the moderator.
The Pride Breakfast takes place on Wednesday, April 19, at the Swinney Recreation Center on UMKC’s campus.
