Insurance Dispute Settles After Oral Arguments to Eighth Circuit

AMCO Insurance retained Shook for an appeal after a jury awarded Beckon, Inc. a $2.2-million verdict in a dispute involving insurance coverage and vexatious refusal to pay. After Shook made oral arguments to the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals but before the court handed down an opinion, the parties reached a settlement to replace the verdict. Beckon, Inc. v. AMCO Ins.
