Shook Expands Tampa Roster with Addition of Laura Whitmore
TAMPA (May 20, 2016) – Shook, Hardy & Bacon welcomes partner Laura Whitmore to its Tampa office. Whitmore joined the firm’s Global Product Liability group on May 16.

Whitmore comes to Shook from Adams and Reese LLP. After law school, she clerked at Florida’s Second District Court of Appeal for The Honorable Chris W. Altenbernd.
Whitmore focuses on product liability actions and complex litigation. Having experience in both state and federal courts, she regularly defends consumer products companies in personal injury and wrongful death litigation. Whitmore has experience handling appeals and appellate oral arguments as well as all aspects of litigation including drafting and arguing case dispositive motions, pre-trial motions, jury instructions and post-trial motions. Very active in the professional community, Whitmore is a member of a number of bar associations and law committees including the Florida Supreme Court Standard Jury Instructions (Civil) Committee, where she serves as current Vice-Chair, and the Appellate Practice Section of the Florida Bar Association. She has also written extensively on a variety of subjects, including product liability law.
