Biography

Amanda focuses her practice on civil litigation discovery matters, including the coordination of national counsel to address and resolve pre-trial matters with an emphasis on complex discovery issues.

As a leader of the Zenas Project, Amanda also has an extensive pro bono practice which focuses on criminal, family law, and other general legal matters for the homeless and underprivileged in the Kansas City area. Amanda is a member of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association (KCMBA) Pro Bono Task Force and a recipient of KCMBA's Robert C. Welch Volunteer Attorney Project Award. Amanda has also been honored with the 2009 Shook, Hardy & Bacon Zimmerman Pro Bono Award and the 2009 Helping Hands Give Hope award from the City Union Mission. Additionally, Amanda is honored to serve on the board of directors for the City Union Mission, Shook, Hardy & Bacon's Pro Bono Committee, and to serve as appointed counsel in numerous Jackson County Family Court juvenile proceedings.
